Multicast is a vital networking technique for maximizing network resources, particularly in streaming media and IPTV applications. PrerequisitesTo attend this course, students should have a thorough understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and the configuration of routing protocols on Cisco routers. Students should also understand the operation of Ethernet switches and be comfortable with the configuration of access lists on Cisco routers and switches.About the InstructorThe course is offered in partnership with Computer Data, Inc., a national provider of technical training and a Cisco Learning Partner. The instructor is Larry Mobley, a networking professional who has developed and taught courses on IP multicast for network engineers within enterprise organizations around the world.
