Outreach and SupportMerit Network is a membership organization; our Members are our primary focus. Merit maintains a highly trained team of professionals to provide support and assistance to our user community. Our Member Services team members, although closely aligned, focus primarily on one of two functions, with each team member as an expert in their given area.Support:Merit's approach to providing Support to our membership is organized into teams composed of highly trained network consultants. Thus, each Member is provided with a support team that is familiar with that organization, enabling immediate assistance with any current or planning issues. There is always a "Consultant-of-the-Day" available during business hours to assist in technical or business issues. For technical issues after hours, Merit's state-of-the-art network operations center (NOC) is available 24x7. In the event that an issue is escalated, the network consultant follows the issue through to resolution. An end-user at an organization will receive support from their organization and should contact their network support staff for information or assistance. For day-to-day support issues or to inquire about an order status, contact Merit Support by using one of the options listed on the right of the screen. Outreach:Merit Outreach Teams work closely with Merit's seasoned, professional engineering staff to design, implement and support applications for each Member. Merit is unique in that Members are able to easily speak directly with senior network engineers. This level of outreach is rarely available from traditional Internet service providers. An Outreach Coordinator is assigned to work directly with a specific organization type, allowing them to thoroughly understand the issues and opportunities relevant to your organization. Merit's Outreach team works directly with Members to provide educational opportunities, serve as an information conduit regarding networking opportunities of interest to a specific organization, coordinate regional collaboration and community networking projects, and facilitate communications among peers. Outreach Coordinators are available to assist in the development and ongoing support of communities of practice, focusing on regional issues and/or specific operational topics. To speak with or invite your Outreach Coordinator to your campus select your organization type from the list located on the left side of the screen.
