Acceptable Use Policy
A guide to the acceptable use of Merit's network facilities and services.
Attachment Policy
This policy defines what organizations can participate in Merit's Affiliate program and attach to Merit's network.
Merit Privacy Policy
What sensitive, confidential, or personally identifiable information is collected by Merit, how long that information is kept, what it is used for, what protections are in place to safeguard it, and under what circumstances the collected information may be released to third parties.
Network Openness Policy
Merit Network manages its layer 3 network with network-neutral, best-effort practices that satisfy non-discrimination and interconnection obligations.
Merit Network Third-Party Connections Policy
Third-party, or "backdoor," connections are generally not allowed. This policy outlines when third-party connections are disallowed and when they are acceptable.
IP Address Spoofing Filters Policy
This policy explains how Merit uses packet filtering to protect against IP address spoofing.

The Merit Network Press Release Guidelines are in place to maintain the continuity of the Merit Network brand and to support all Members' desires to publicize their relationship with Merit Network.
