Event Streaming

You can broadcast your organization's events over the Internet using Merit’s expertise and high-capacity network, reaching viewers around the globe. Events that are ideal for streaming include concerts, graduation proceedings, sporting events, and presentations.

Merit engineers can setup, test, and coordinate your live streaming event, using Merit's streaming servers to broadcast your event to the world. Each streaming event is monitored by Merit technicians to ensure the best quality possible. Streaming events can be recorded and archived for future playback.

Full Service package

  • Portable stream-encoding hardware shipped out to event location.
  • Streaming engineer will setup, test and coordinate the live event streaming.
  • Live Stream will be monitored by the Merit Network Operations Center staff.
  • Merit maintains Streaming servers to reflect and distribute the live streams to viewers around the globe.
  • Recording and archiving of the live event available for later on-demand viewing.

Live Stream Broadcasting package

  • Merit will distribute a live stream from your stream-encoding hardware using Merit's Streaming Servers.
  • Member responsible for operation of the streaming equipment.
  • Merit will assist with preliminary testing and troubleshooting.
  • Live Stream will be monitored by the Merit Network Operations Center staff.

Streaming Formats & Methods

Merit can accommodate the following formats and methods:
  • Windows Media, QuickTime, Real, and Flash
  • Multicast and Unicast
  • Full-service encoding support available
