National Science Foundation (NSF)

ARRA legislation designates $800 Million in funding for projects aimed at improving academic facilities for research and infrastructure. The proceeding will connect you with any necessary information regarding the NSF role in the Stimulus Package. Many deadlines for the following deadlines have expired. We will update links here upon further solicitations from the NSF; though, none are expected at this time.

Major Research Instrumentation Program (MRI-R2) - Website

The NSF Major Research Instrumentation Program (MRI-R2) serves to increase access to shared scientific and engineering instruments for research and research training in our nation's institutions of higher education, museums and science centers, and not-for-profit organizations. Academic Research Infrastructure Program (ARI-R2) - Website

The NSF Academic Research Infrastructure Program (ARI- R2) will invest in repair, renovation, or in exceptional cases, the replacement of existing research facilities. This includes renovation of research facilities through the addition or augmentation of cyber-infrastructure, other than general-purpose computing systems or data storage systems, to create environments that enhance research and integrate research with education.
